Escape with a Weekend Getaway!

Travel for the Cure to Cabin Fever

By Jana Hornsby, Travel Agent February 7, 2019

Did January seem like it was about 74 days long to anyone else? Maybe it was the cold, maybe the occasional rain but it just seemed like it would never end! What got me through? Dreaming about and planning our next getaway!

We have found that the key to being a happy family is the art of the getaway.  We ditch the cabin fever and enjoy each other's company with a change of scenery. Not every vacation has to be a week-long or cost thousands! Here in the Southeast there are so many places to go, things to do and beautiful areas to see! Next weekend is President's Day weekend and offers up an excellent chance to travel a bit as many schools observe the holiday.

So, you have the time...now where do you go? We like to keep it within a reasonable drive since we're going with two kids and will have to travel back and get things in order before school and work the next week. My general game plan works like this...
